I bought the car in May 2001 after over a year of looking. I had looked at several 911s ranging from the 3.0 litre 911 SC to the 3.6 litre 964 C4. Although I liked the pull of the 3.6, the body style of the 1984-1988 911 had always been my favourite. After seeing and driving the car for the first time, I knew that I had found my first Porsche. After thinking about it overnight, I made the seller an offer on the car. He accepted and I now owned the car I had lusted after since the age of eight. The car is a European (ROW) spec 911 equiped with the factory 'turbo-look' package (option code M-491). She is stock with the exception of a custom exhaust and K&N filter. On the inside I have added a DAS rollbar and Sparco four-point harnesses. I have also converted the headlamps from the stock H4 halogen bulbs to HID bulbs. Both the engine and transmission were rebuilt by the previous owner to stock specifications by Intersport Performance in McLean, Virginia (703.242.8680). |
